A few weekends ago I went to Columbus to visit my sister. It was so good seeing her and her adorable puppy.
While there we went out for fun drinks and cooked some pretty fabulous meals.
PHILLY CHEESE STEAK WITH SRIRACHA MAYO
Steak (any kind you feel like using)
First, dice up an onion and a variety of peppers. We used jalapeños and red bell peppers (yum). Cook them up with a little bit of oil or butter until tender and the onion is translucent.
In a separate pan, sear the steak on each side. We seasoned it with just a little pepper and sea salt. After it’s seared, put it in a 400-degree oven to finish cooking.
While the steak is in the oven, toast up some sub buns, and mix a little sriracha into some mayo.
To assemble your cheese steaks, thinly slice the steak and place on the bottom bun. Top with the peppers, onions, provolone and sriracha mayo. Enjoy!
Also, sorry I haven’t posted in awhile. Honestly just haven’t felt like blogging much—but rest assured, I’ve been cooking a lot and have plenty of upcoming recipes!
